Why Organic

Why Organic?

Organic means “life”.
It is our promise for tomorrow: A healthier, thriving world for our children, grandchildren and generations to come.

Confronted with climate change, we firmly believe that endless growth is not sustainable. More and more only leaves us with less and less.

That is why we follow a philosophy of quality over quantity.

Since 2006, our certified organic wines stand testament to our commitment:

  • Free from chemical and synthetic pesticides and fungicides, embracing nature’s balance.
  • Fertilized exclusively with our very own compost, protecting the soil’s vitality.
  • With permanent green cover in the vineyards including clover, grass and other herbs, protecting the soil against erosion and waterlogging.
  • This green cover also provides a habitat for a wide variety of insects.
  • Meticulously tended using mechanical and manual tools, we forgo harsh herbicides for the health of our land.

In our pursuit of authenticity, we welcome scrutiny from independent institutions like Bio Austria.

Our sandy soils and the hot, dry Pannonian summers allow us to create wines with a deep character that are rich in extracts and highly enjoyable.

Proof that understanding nature, not conquering it, is the key to exquisite winemaking.
